A proper website, hosting, business email and SEO — from $59.79 a month, with nothing to pay up front. We built treeservicerichmondhill.com, and we're twenty minutes up Yonge in Aurora.
Think about how a customer here actually finds someone. They don't pick a business. They pick between businesses.
They type what they need into their phone, and up comes a list. Three map results, then ten links. You might be one of them. Beside you are two other companies doing the same work, a few concessions away, charging roughly what you charge.
And then they spend about forty seconds deciding.
That's the whole contest. Not your years of experience, not the job you saved last winter when nobody else would come out — forty seconds of someone glancing at three names and picking the one that looks most like a real, current, reachable business.
This town is dense. Along Yonge between Elgin Mills and 16th there is more than one of almost everything. That cuts both ways: plenty of customers, and plenty of people being compared against you by somebody who has never met any of you.
If your name comes up and leads nowhere — no site, or a site that clearly stopped being looked after — you don't get told. You simply don't get the call, and you carry on assuming it was a quiet week.
For a lot of businesses around here, the real storefront is a WeChat group. Or a Facebook community page, or an Instagram account, or a listing on a directory that emails you every month about upgrading.
None of that is a mistake. It's where the people are, and it has brought you work. We'd never tell you to walk away from it.
But all of it is rented. Someone else decides who sees your posts, what sits next to your name, and whether the whole thing still exists next year. You've probably already watched one platform quietly stop showing your posts to people who asked to see them.
The other reason it hasn't happened is simpler. You asked what a website costs, and the number came back as nine hundred dollars, or two thousand, or three — up front, before anything exists. So you did the arithmetic every owner does, and the website went back to sixth place on the list.
Or you did get one. A friend of a friend built it, it went live, it looked fine, and then he moved on and it froze in whatever year that was. The hours are wrong. You just don't know who to ask any more.
What stopped you was never the money. It was being asked for all of it at once — and knowing nobody would be looking after it afterwards.
So we took both of those away.

You don't have to decide anything today. Tell us what you do and where your work comes from, and we'll give you a straight answer — including if it's “you don't need us yet”.
The design cost is spread across the subscription instead of billed at the start. And we keep looking after it, so it doesn't quietly go stale on you.
There's a one-year minimum, because the design work is real and has to be paid for somewhere — after that you can cancel any time. And the first thirty days are refundable. Full plan details
Both are live right now. Open them on your phone, the way your customers would.

The tree company is a Richmond Hill business, and that site is ours from the first sketch to the hosting it runs on today. More of our work
Tree work, roofing, landscaping, HVAC, renovations. Your work speaks for itself — but only if somebody can see it. Eight good photos of finished jobs, the services you actually offer, and the towns you actually drive to.
Being able to send a link with your quote is its own kind of credential, especially when the other two quotes arrived as a text message.
Dentists, physio, law and accounting, agents, consultants. People check you before they call, and they're usually deciding between you and two other names from the same search.
A site that's clearly current — this year's prices, this year's hours, the languages you actually speak in the room — does more of that deciding than anything clever you could write.
For a storefront, most of the job is unglamorous: hours that are right, an address that maps properly, a phone number you can tap, and a few photos that look like the actual room rather than a stock kitchen.
Get those four correct and you're ahead of most of your plaza.
This is the one that costs people the most, and almost nobody sees it coming.
Someone pays two thousand dollars for a site. It looks smart. It goes live. Then they wait two years, hear nothing, and quietly decide their trade just isn't the kind people search for.
Often the real reason is far more ordinary than that. The site was never on Google's list to begin with.
Not ranking badly. Simply absent.
Google doesn't find you automatically. It either follows a link from somewhere else, or you tell it you exist. Plenty of people who build websites finish at launch and never do that second part.
On every site we build, these all happen:
There's one more thing that's particular to this town. Your customers don't all search in the same language. The person looking for your service might type it in English, or in Chinese, or in Persian, and those are three different sets of results. A site that only ever says what it does one way is invisible to two of those three.
We work in English and Chinese, and this site has a Chinese version of its own. If a bilingual site makes sense for your business, it's worth raising early — it changes how the pages are planned, rather than being something bolted on at the end.
One more thing worth knowing, even though it isn't part of what we sell: for local searches, your Google Business Profile carries more weight than anything on your website. Whether you turn up in those top three map results depends largely on how complete that profile is and how recent your reviews are.
That one is yours to do — Google requires the business owner to verify it personally, so nobody can do it on your behalf. It's free, and it's worth half an hour of your time.
What we won't do is promise you a position. That's Google's call, not ours, and anyone guaranteeing you the top spot is telling you something they can't know.
What we will promise: when Google comes looking, it will find every page you have, read it properly, and understand that you do this work, in Richmond Hill. The rest is your business being good at what it does.
Send us the address and we'll tell you how many of your pages Google has actually indexed, and what's holding the rest back. No charge, no pitch.
Essential is $59.79 a month plus 13% HST — $67.56 all in — with nothing up front. That's three pages, hosting, your first year's domain, two business email addresses and a tracking number. Premium is $129.79 and adds two pages, logo design and ongoing SEO. Most quotes around York Region are $900–$3,000 up front, half on signing.
No — we're at 16 Industrial Pkwy S, Aurora, ON L4G 0R4, about twenty minutes up Yonge, by appointment. We'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
Nearly all of the work happens by phone and email anyway. And we've built for Richmond Hill businesses before — treeservicerichmondhill.com is ours, and it's live right now.
Yes. We work in both, and this site has a Chinese version of its own.
If a bilingual site is what you need, say so early — it changes how the pages are planned rather than being something bolted on afterwards, and it affects how many pages your plan needs.
We do. There's no login and no dashboard to learn — you send us the change and we publish it for you.
We deliberately don't hand over a system for you to manage. That's the reason so many small business sites go stale: not that the owner didn't care, but that editing it was one more chore at the end of a long day.
We build every site so Google can find, crawl and understand it — sitemap, robots.txt, titles that name the service and the town, local business markup, and an indexing request submitted to Google.
Worth knowing separately: for local searches your Google Business Profile matters more than anything on your website — but Google requires you to verify that yourself, so it isn't something anyone can set up for you. It's free and worth doing.
What nobody can honestly promise is a specific ranking. That's Google's call. Be careful with anyone who guarantees you first place.
Because the design and build cost is real, and we didn't charge you for it at the start. It has to be absorbed somewhere, and that somewhere is the first year of subscription. It's the only way the no-money-down part works.
After twelve months you can cancel whenever you like. And the first thirty days are refundable, so you can see how it actually goes before committing to the rest.
If we think you don't need us yet, we'll say so. We take on fifty new clients a year, so there's no reason for us to talk anyone into anything.
